Kubernetes Engine

One-click Kubernetes clusters, managed by Google

GO TO KUBERNATES ENGINEContact Sales

Google Kubernetes Engine is a powerful cluster manager and orchestration system for running your Docker containers. It's built on the open source Kubernetes system, giving you the flexibility to take advantage of on-premises, hybrid, or public cloud infrastructure.

Set up a managed container cluster of virtual machines, ready for deployment in just minutes. Your cluster is equipped with capabilities such as logging and container health checking, to make application management easier. Declare your containers' requirements, such as the amount of CPU/memory to reserve, number of replicas, and keepalive policy, in a simple JSON config file. Kubernetes Engine will schedule your containers as declared, and actively manage your application to ensure requirements are met.

KUBENATES ENGINE PRICING

Pricing for nodes
GKE uses Google Compute Engine instances for nodes in the cluster. You are billed for each of those instances according to Compute Engine's pricing, until the nodes are deleted. Compute Engine resources are billed on a per-second basis with a one-minute minimum usage cost.

Pricing calculator
You can use the Google Cloud Platform pricing calculator to create an estimate of your monthly GKE charges, including node pricing.

About Kubernetes master nodes
If you have used the open-source Kubernetes project, you are familiar with the Kubernetes master node running on its own machine instance. Because GKE abstracts away the existence of the master, you are not charged for the master node.
